More Book of Days Pages

Hello! I was able to get a few more pages done in my Book of Days. Although I'm still a bit behind, I am happy with the progress I'm making given I have a limited amount of time that I am able to work on the book.

This page reflects my LOVE of all things Steampunk!

This page represents my evolving in 2012. So far this year, I've had so many firsts. Keeping an altered book is one of many new things I am involved in.

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently taking a class with the lovely and talented Tam of Willowing.

Here's my first EVER attempt at drawing a face. I'm somewhat content with the finsihed product, although I do feel it needs a bit more shading. I'll work on it more later.

Behind, but getting there!

Hello Everyone,

I've been busy working on my 366 Calendar Challenge as well as my year long Book of Days project.

I'm finding it difficult to squeeze in time to art. It makes me sad, but I have to try not to burden myself with my ability (or inability) to spend time each day to work on my projects.

Not being a football fan, and really not ready to spend 4 hours of my life in front of the television just to see the commercials - which is the only reason I watch the Superbowl, (thank goodness for YouTube!), I decided to use that time instead to work on my Book of Days. I was able to complete Tuesday and Wednesday's pages and felt good about the progress....although I am still behind.  But I'll get there! I've got a retreat coming up at the end of the month in which I plan to work super hard on getting caught up.

February's 366 Calendar Challenge

Here is my February calendar for Kate Crane's 366 Calendar Challenge http://www.thekathrynwheel.blogspot.com/. As one might guess, my theme for the month was love. But love comes in many forms. In this instance, we should all "Love Life".

At the prompting of Effy Wild http://www.wildpreciouslife.com/, I'm reading Life is a Verb this month as well which deals with living each day to the fullest and never, ever taking the time you have for granted.  Should make my calendar and Book of Days very interesting.

Book of Days - First Spread

I was able to finish my two-page spread for Monday. This is going to be a great exercise for the year. It makes you think, create and do. Three things I wanted to accomplish in 2012.
